Rules of UWBAN

 1. Naming of the association
 Let the name of this association be "Uranium Weapons Prohibition Treaty Realization Campaign". The abbreviated name of our association is UWBAN and it stands for Uranium Weapons Ban.

 2. Our goals are
・To prohibit production, stockpiling, testing, dealing, and use of Uranium Weapons and the destruction of all existing Uranium Weapons.
・To demand medical and scientific investigation of contaminated areas, decontamination of uranium, and compensation for the victims from the nations who used Uranium Weapons.
・To attain the above two goals, we enact the treaty banning the use of uranium for military purposes.

 3. Action
・To spread disseminate information about the facts of human toxicity of Uranium Weapons and its impact on human health and environment.
・To appeal to international institutions such as WHO and the UN Commission on Human Rights for the enactment of the treaty.
・To approach members of local governments and the Diet in Japan.

 4. Membership rule
 Any person or organization that supports our campaign can be a member of UWBAN and has a right to express his/her opinion and make proposals. Reports and information on the activity shall be provided for all members by way of papers, E-mails and other media.

 5. Operation as an organization
UWBAN consists of a few joint representatives, several executive members, and others. Executive members engage in daily work.

 6. Fund
 Our campaign is financed by means of membership fees, contributions, and proceeds of the activities. Annual membership fee is 2,000 Yen (about $18) for a person and 5,000 Yen ( about $46) for an organization.
