What are uranium weapons?Uranium weapons are known to more Japanese as the misnamed 'Depleted' Uranium than as uranium weapons. They are left after enriched uranium is separated from natural uranium in order to produce fuel for nuclear reactors. During this process, the fissionable isotope Uranium 235 is separated from uranium. The remaining uranium is of two isotopes; 0.0054% Uranium 234, and 99.2746% Uranium 238. Most of the remaining, Uranium 238 is misleadingly called 'depleted uranium'. While the term 'depleted' implies it isn't particularly dangerous, in fact, this waste product of the nuclear industry is 'conveniently' disposed of by producing deadly weapons.Uranium weapons are chemically toxic. They are made of extremely dense, hard metal, and can cause chemical poisoning to the body in the same way as can lead or any other heavy metal. However, uranium weapons are also radio-logically hazardous, as they spontaneously burn on impact; they burn in very high temperature after it was ignite by fric-tional heat which comes from evolution of frictional heat between uranium weapons and objects they hit. Thus they create tiny aerosolized glass particles which are small enough to be inhaled. These uranium oxide particles emit all types of radiation, alpha, beta and gamma, and can be carried in the air over long distances. Uranium chemical compound has a half life of 4.5 billion years, and the presence of uranium ceramic aerosols can pose a long term threat to human health and the environment. Why uranium is used as weapons? In the 1950's the United States Department of Defense became interested in using uranium metal in weapons because of its extremely dense, pyrophoric qualities and because it was cheap and available in huge quantities. They are now given practically free of charge to the military and arms manufacturers and are used both as tank armour, and in armourpiercing shells known as "depleted" uranium penetrators. Over 15 countries are known to have uranium weapons in their military arsenals - UK, US, France, Russia, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Pakistan, Thailand, Iraq and Taiwan - with "depleted" uranium rapidly spreading to other countries despite they are hazardous weapons prohibited to be used in current International Humanitarian law already. Uranium weapons were first used on a large scale in military combat during the 1991 Gulf War, and have since been used in Bosnia, 1995, and in the Balkans war of 1999 by U.S. force, NATO force, and U.S.-led coalition forces. After that, they were used in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2002, and AGAIN in IRAQ 2003 by U. S. force and U.K. force. The advantages of Depleted Uranium are: Depleted uranium, because of its very heavy density and hardness, when used to tip bullets, increases the penetration power of the bullets, and displays such tremendous capacity as to power to open holes in thick iron plates. The capacity to kill and injure the enemy is high because of the high temperature it causes when it burns. It is very cheap because its raw materials are of radioactive waste. In the U.S., uranium weapons are called Silver bullets, this gives a false impression. To avoid criticism of its policy of using these bullets in WARS, it must have named them WITH such WORDS to SOUND GOOD AND PURE. The U.S. government HAS USED THESE IN WARS THAT THE U.S. government CALLS "WARS AGAIST TERRORISM" DESPITE IN REALITY THIS is NOT the REASON, BUT FOR FULFILLING ITS DESIRE FOR EXPLOITATION AND OC-CUPATION. The JAPANESE GOVERNMENT has no courage to OPPOSE that POLICY IN SPITE OF OUR CONSTITUTION ARTICLE 9, which The U.S. GOVERNMENT IT-SELF CREATED after WORLD WARU. RATHER JAPANESE PRIME MINISTER, KOIZUMI seems to COOPERATE WITH THE U.S. GOVERNMENT to EXPLOIT VITIMIZED CONTRIES. THE BULLETS CAN CAUSE THE SAME DAMAGE TO HUMAN HEALTH as THE ONES IN HIROSHIMA which was MADE FROM URA-NIUM 60 YEARS AGO AND WE NEED TO WORK ON IN A WAY to THINK OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS OF VICTIMS, as well as to STOP ANY MORE USE and DEVELOPMENT OF SUCH WEAPONS. |
